Driver Requirements
- • Minimum age: 21 years old
- • Required documents: Original ID card or passport + driver's license
- • International drivers: International Driving Permit (IDP) recommended
Additional Drivers
- • All additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the primary driver
- • Additional drivers must be present when signing the rental agreement
- • Both drivers must sign the contract before driving the vehicle
- • Only authorized drivers listed on the agreement may operate the vehicle
Important: Unauthorized drivers operating the vehicle will void all insurance coverage

Rental Period & Pricing
- • Rental period is calculated in 24-hour increments
- • Rental starts at vehicle delivery time (exact time noted in contract)
- • Vehicle must be returned at the same time or earlier
- • Example: Pick up at 9:00 AM = Return by 9:00 AM next day
- • Late returns will be charged an additional day automatically
Contract Extensions
If you need to extend your rental period, you must contact ASTERCARS in advance to receive authorization. Unauthorized extensions will result in additional charges. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability.

Reservations & Security Deposit
Reservation Policy
- • Reservations are confirmed upon vehicle delivery
- • All bookings are subject to vehicle availability
- • Email confirmation sent for all online reservations
- • We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak season
Security Deposit
A security deposit is required when signing the rental agreement. The deposit is handled as follows:
- • Credit card: Pre-authorization hold (no charge, just reserved)
- • Cash option: Cash deposit accepted (varies by vehicle)
- • Amount: Equal to the insurance excess (varies by vehicle type)
- • Release: Pre-authorization lifted immediately upon vehicle return in good condition
- • No fees: Pre-authorization process is completely free
💡 Tip: Credit card pre-authorization is the fastest method and doesn't require actual payment unless there's damage
Insurance Coverage
What's Covered
All our vehicles include comprehensive insurance with a deductible/excess. Coverage includes:
What's NOT Covered
- • Tire damage: Punctures, blowouts, or sidewall damage
- • Personal belongings: Items left in the vehicle (we are not responsible for theft)
- • Undercarriage damage: Caused by off-road use (except 4x4 vehicles on approved routes)
- • Interior damage: Stains, burns, or excessive dirt
- • Fuel errors: Wrong fuel type or running out of fuel
- • Key loss: Lost or stolen keys
- • Negligence: Vehicle left unlocked or keys left inside
Critical Insurance Requirements
- • Accident reports MUST be filed within 24 hours for insurance coverage
- • Vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received
- • Any unauthorized use voids insurance coverage completely
- • Renter remains responsible for the vehicle at all times (on road and in parking)
Vehicle Usage Rules
Permitted Use
- • Driving on all paved roads throughout Morocco
- • 4x4 vehicles may be used on approved off-road routes
- • Crossing into other cities with proper notification
- • Normal tourist and business activities
Prohibited Activities
- • Off-road driving with non-4x4 vehicles (strictly prohibited)
- • Leaving vehicle unlocked with documents inside
- • Smoking inside the vehicle (€100 cleaning fee)
- • Pet transportation without prior approval
- • Racing, rallying, or any competition use
- • Towing or pushing other vehicles
- • Transporting illegal goods or substances
- • Sub-renting the vehicle to third parties
Any damage caused by prohibited activities or misuse will be charged to the renter and is NOT covered by insurance
Delivery & Collection
Free Delivery in Marrakech
We offer complimentary vehicle delivery and collection within Marrakech to:

- • Traditional riads
- • Marrakech Menara Airport terminal
- • Residential addresses within city limits
Delivery Outside Marrakech
Transportation fees apply for delivery/collection outside of Marrakech. Fees vary by distance:

- • Luxury vehicles: May require specific delivery arrangements
- • After-hours delivery: Available with prior arrangement
